The Daily Life Therapy Method (TM) of Higashi has been a game changer in mitigating challenges across the spectrum of autism. Our pedagogy focuses on the characteristics of children with ASD in the design of educational methods. Mediating sensory hypersensitivities, communication deficits, difficulties in learning general subjects, parental guidance, strategies for development and reversing regression are the fundamentals of autism education of Higashi. Operable through repetitious practice and perseverative teaching in multi departments of Academics, Clinical Therapies (OT & SLT), Sports, Yoga and Health management, it has resulted in substantial acquisition of academic milestones, communication outcomes, sensory balance and regulation for our students.

It gives me enormous pleasure to share that our grade level teaching as reflected in our NIOS data sheet is impressive. The first batch of eligible 16 students who took their NIOS – OBE A Level (Grade 3) exams in February 2026, fared well with good grades. And the decks are now being prepared for 2027. They now move on to Grade 4 and Grade 5. The next tier of NIOS – B Level exams is at Grade 5, for which the students are studying well even as the next batches are being geared up for the first tier. We believe the Open Schooling Curriculum Board is responsive to the learning needs and future possibilities for autistic children.

Across School levels @Higashi – Montessori/Kindergarten, Elementary/FLN, Junior High School/NIOS A, B & C, our Class formations of 1:1 teacher/therapist-student ratios, group education, creative co-curricular support innovative Teaching Learning Materials (TLMs), tech integration, usage of AI tools in stimulating attention is geared for measurable outcomes for executive functioning, conceptual learning, breaking out of restrictive behavior and expanding interests.

The key strengths of our school are – Infrastructure Facilities, Faculty and Service delivery model. Our faculty undertakes teaching on an unprecedented scale with a plethora of learning materials curated creatively in physical and digital formats. Synergistic Individualized Education Plan (IEPs) and Individualized Therapy Plans take into account variability, individual profiles, level of severity and differences in learning styles.
