Sports, Physical Education (PE) & Yoga

Experienced coaches design variety of activities after assessing student’s motivation, health status, stamina and coordination. PE plans follow our STEP Model (S – Space, T – Task, personalized targets and moving from simple to complex, E – Equipment, P – Player). IAYT or Integrated Approach to Yoga Therapy implemented by yoga acharyas (experienced teachers) with knowledge of Iyengar and Sivananda Yoga traditions and practices. Conducted with supervision, yoga therapy will be directed to develop and improve loco-motor skills, breathing, psycho-motor coordination, reduction in hyperactivity, aggression and the frequency of emotional upsets, tendency to cause injuries to self and others, addressing appetite issues and improving overall health. PE, Yoga & OT departments will work in tandem and confer with each other for student progress.
